Our Vision

G.O. Community Development Corporation vision is to lift up residents within our community by providing training, opportunities and a helping hand.

Our History

G.O. Community Development Corporation is the result of the research, planning, and coordination of John and Mae Salters of the Salters Family. G.O. CDC has been a nonprofit since 1999. With the help of the G.O. Community Development Corporation Board of Directors, they brought together the wisdom, experience, and energy of Ashtabula’s dedicated service providers to come up with the best solutions for our needy families

Our Philosophy

G.O. Community Development Corporation is dedicated to providing training, opportunities and to support those in need, not as charity but as an act of social  justice.  There are many people not only in Ashtabula but all over who are homeless and who live poor which have left many people vulnerable and unsafe. That is why G.O. is here, we are here to help and make sure we can end the unnecessary stigmatization of the most vulnerable.

We are committed to providing food, clothing, household items, and other essential humanitarian assistance to people in the City of Ashtabula and throughout Ashtabula County.
